Private Foraging Walks

You can hire me (Natalie) for private foraging walks at a location of your choice in the Roslyn/ Cle Elum area.

I am available on an hourly basis to lead foraging walks for you and you family or friends. Most often someone has a farm, garden or piece of land where they would like to get acquainted with the plants. Another possibility is that you want to organize a foraging walk for you and your friends, in which case either you or I can choose the location. I can tailor the walk to your preferences, and shape an experience that meets your needs!

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and have 10 years of experience growing and foraging plants for food, medicine and crafts, and 5 years of experience teaching herbalism and foraging. I have a background in teaching ESL, which means I am excellent at facilitating hands on learning, and making information stick. Teaching outdoors and interacting with plants is my life's passion, and my enthusiasm tends to be contagious!

Depending on the chosen location and its legalities, we may or may not be able to actually forage on the walk. If we will be foraging, I will let you know what to bring ahead of time, which generally includes bags and clippers as the mainstays. I teach about only a few mushrooms, as I like to stay in my lane, so to speak.

I do not lead walks for children under 11, though one or two young children with adults are welcome to join your group.

  • If you decide to cancel a walk for any non-covid reason, you will be refunded everything except your $40 deposit.

  • If I decide to cancel a walk, you will receive a full refund.

  • Masks are optional in my classes. I generally do not wear one when I teach, but will wear one if your group asks me to.

You can decide if you'd like to reschedule or go head without that person. If you decide to cancel the walk altogether, you will receive a full refund.

  • If I am exposed to COVID, exhibit symptoms or test positive for COVID, we will reschedule the walk, or cancel the walk with a full refund given.
